Description

Build stronger emotional resilience through small changes in everyday life! A new book, *The Sensitive Office Worker’s Survival Guide*, has been released by Moeoko Ono, a well-known Japanese industrial counselor. It is a counselor’s prescription for the heart, offered to sensitive workers who are easily hurt. We all experience emotional waves at work. A hurt heart does not simply heal on its own; after repeatedly feeling things wash over us and sweep us away, we can struggle to cope, become discouraged, and give up. This book offers practical advice and comfort for working through those feelings. It teaches workers suffering from tension, stress, difficulty managing emotions, anger, and anxiety how to build inner strength and get back on their feet. Drawing on her extensive career as an industrial counselor and her professional experience, Ono identifies workers’ most common concerns and explains concrete ways to turn negative feelings into positive energy. Each chapter analyzes everyday situations through examples and offers appropriate solutions, including ways to handle problems most workers can relate to, such as fear of presentations, stress from excessive workloads, and sudden loss of concentration. This advice helps readers understand and manage their feelings so they can have a more comfortable working life. It explains common everyday problems in simple language and offers concrete solutions to put each strategy into practice.

The title made me wonder if this book was written for me. I’m easily hurt, and what weighs on me more than the work itself is being hurt by things my coworkers or boss say. I desperately wanted help. The author is Japanese, but I realized that surviving office life is much the same regardless of nationality. The author offers comfort as well as advice, teaching workers suffering from anxiety, failure, and anger how to build inner strength. Drawing on practical experience, the book identifies

This useful book presents a range of concerns workers may face through short, clear examples and suggests ways to address them. I found several helpful tips I could apply at work, and I think they would be especially useful to people who struggle emotionally. Some material is not directly related to work, but it helped me learn to solve problems from a broader perspective. I was particularly impressed by several mindset techniques and tips for improving work efficiency. I plan to take notes and

This book seems helpful not only for work but for overall mental well-being. It offers people today, especially workers dealing with relentless workloads and no free time, a moment of relief from the frustration, fear, and anxiety that can result. It feels like a book that lets you pause and think about giving yourself a little breathing room. It may not point to one exact direction, but it helps you set goals!
