Oh Jin-seok: History of the Modern and Contemporary Electric Power Industry in Korea, 1898–1961

A world without electricity is hard to imagine. The information revolution, with all its high-tech devices and technology, is all based on electricity. That's a lot of importance to the electricity or the power industry, but it's so natural for moderns that they hardly notice it. This book, it's looking at the history of the power industry that produces and delivers that precious electricity. From the founding of a temple in 1898, I dealt with a Korean electric industry that took three electric power companies into the Korean stock company in 1961. The founders, based on a variety of rare and diverse data, have been able to share with us an interesting new perspective on modernization and industrialization in Korea over 60 years, in the form of imperial, Japanese, Japanese and Korean, Japanese or German.
