The maintenance industry is a complex of interests, a ‘complicate system ’ in urban planning and housing policies. But in the meantime, I felt really sad because I had no specialized books to act as a comprehensive and clear compass from the theory of maintenance to law and institutions, to phenomena and problems, to the direction that I had to go. The author, who was the first to establish a basic plan for urban and residential maintenance in Seoul City in 2002, played a central role in urban management theories and actual planning for more than 20 years, including the overall plan of urban and housing maintenance projects, such as the Masteracner, the city of Seoul and the city and the home environment. And for more than 20 years, I've been teaching as a professor about urban maintenance and constantly building lectures and research papers, and I'm putting the experience and knowledge that have been accumulated in this book to be systematically and densely packed.
