Moon Dae-soo: What Makes an Organization Sick
There is no conflictless organization. The problem is not a conflict, but the weak structure of the organization makes it easy to be sensitive to conflicts, and the conflict is caused by collisions between people in the organization, the wrong systems within the organization. While organized conflict can lead to a better experience and history for growth, as if it were a disease that was overcome, it could lead to chronic illness if the conflict remained unrefined or with a weak will to resolve it. The chronic disease of the organization creates a misguided system culture that has long allowed disease to remain in ignorance or ununiting, overefficient overwork, outlay work, neglect, inappropriate feedback, encouragement and praise, lack of reward and distortion. The wrong organization culture of the face, ‘ practice, ’ causes even healthy members to ‘ infect ’ it and thus conform to it or leave it. Can we not make this organization meaningful and enthusiastic? Just as we need to understand the symptoms of our bodies so we can treat them properly, chronic diseases in our tissues can be replaced with healthy tissue. The book contains a clear diagnosis and prescription for the sick tissue that is suffering from chronic illness.
