Description

The nature symbol, along with Evans Richards, Claude Levistrows, Clifford Gitz, is one of the greatest anthropologists of modern times, Mary Douglas, and we see how certain forms of social life regularly produce a variety of symbolic expressions. Douglass, though sophisticated, extends his work through primitive, classical, and modern societies in powerful comparisons to exploration of the universe, adding a flavor to the relationship between various social types and cosmological theories. It will allow us to re-examination of current orthodoxy, and above all, we will be able to forgive beyond our cultural biases.

Now, reading the book "Pure and Risk" and the book, which is out of print and not easy to find, can be quite fun. It's not only an opportunity to look at how his intellectual territory expands, but also a reading experience where both books complement each other's concepts and whose dramatic appearance is more sharp.

There's no reason not to read this book just because he's Mary Douglas. But since it's Mary Douglas's book, we can never be on guard. The moment you are in a sentence where you simply tell a story so vast, you experience the frustration of uninhibited knowledge.

And we're going to think about this as well.
