There are patterns that make it easy to follow, and the example drawings are designed to be drawn comfortably with a pencil or pen, but the explanation for the coloring process with paint is lacking.
It is literally a very gentle book. It teaches watercolor painting so kindly to me, a beginner among beginners who learned by watching others or scribbling in a short 4-week course. For example, regarding how to paint the sky like that... it explains that you don't just draw it, but use tissue paper to represent the clouds. So, I looked at the explanations and tried to follow along carefully. (A friend saw it and said, "It looks similar, but not quite similar, yet kind of similar." lol).

The watercolor painting on the cover was so stunning that I really wanted to read this book.
