Lee No-kyung: Drama Class Guide for Teachers

This book begins by outlining the space for drama classes, presents various types and methods for conducting drama lessons in the classroom, and finally introduces ways to create a special connection and communicate with storybooks through drama. The book is composed of three independent chapters. Chapter 1, titled "Shall We Start Drama Classes?", provides detailed instructions for seven drama lesson sessions that teachers interested in drama classes but hesitant to try can immediately follow. All seven lessons are designed to help participants understand, through their own experiences, what drama is, what its core elements are, and what they should observe, feel, and think while acting. To this end, the lessons begin with conversations during warm-ups to share the goals with students, and two or three activities related to the learning objectives are proposed. The number of activities can be adjusted flexibly at the teacher's discretion, taking into account class time, the age of the participating students, and the number of students. Chapter 2, "How Far Have You Gone with Drama Classes?", introduces various forms of drama classes, ranging from square-space theater to storytelling. Rather than drama classes being a complex, cumbersome, and repetitive preparation process solely for the final stage, it introduces diverse types of theater that capture the process of creating a meaningful learning space based on theatrical experiences and fun from the beginning to the end of the class. Chapter 3, "Shall We Read a Book as a Play?", presents methods for reading four themed storybooks through drama classes.
