Lee Jung-woo: Pensions and old-age income security
General pensions, of course, and public pensions in particular, can be a subject for extra academic research and education because of their mathematical properties, such as statistics and probability. First, it's a phenomenon often found in public pensions, where individual situations and overall situations are at odds with each other. This is also called the "compliance of structure" in other words, and it is urgently required to increase national savings by dealing with rapid reductions in the transition to a low-immune society and the health of pension funds. In a society like this, savings can be a virtue, and the independence that each individual person wants to solve his own welfare issues should be promoted as a social sense. But if everyone is stuck in their old age, savings can no longer be a virtue. Oversaving can reduce the demand, thereby contributing to a domestic savings decline with a slowdown of economic growth overall. So, the contradictory correlation between individual versus individual relationships is relatively easy to find elsewhere in the pension system. For example, while the investment revenues of the nation's pension system, which are over-intended by the entire population, increase its assets, it may also simply increase the debt that our future citizens owe.
