I bought this for my trip to London this summer. I borrowed several books from the library, but I liked the helpful information and design of Friends London, so I decided to buy it.
Even though we can get lots of travel information from YouTube and blogs these days, I still prefer seeing the overall picture in a printed book. This was helpful!
With 19 different travel themes and plentiful images, this guide has a lot going for it. From basic information to landmarks and history, Friends London shows from the first pages that it’s a comprehensive guide, not just a sightseeing book. Its 19 themes suit the trend of planning trips around personal interests. “London Shopping Streets at a Glance” maps complex shopping areas to help plan efficiently. The regional guide also divides areas into six sections based on traveler routes,

London is a city where old-world charm shines through its deep history, while its cutting-edge energy and appeal set trends around the world. The Friends series is famous for travel guides, and I already own guides to several countries. Before visiting London, I trusted this revised edition because it includes plenty of current information. After reading it, my favorite part was the varied themed trips. As an architecture major, I found the London architecture section especially useful. I also liked the historical tours and maps. It covers familiar destinations and landmarks along with lesser-known information, and even includes
The revised Friends London by Lee Joo-eun and other authors came out this year, following last year’s edition. The frequent revisions feel reassuring. It’s neatly made and full of substance; I can see why it’s a steady bestseller. This is my honest view. Just as young foreign women visiting Korea look for Olive Young or Chinese visitors head to Myeong-dong, we naturally seek shopping destinations abroad. That’s part of tourism. Nearly every Friends guide covers shopping, from bargains to
Before a trip, when you visit a bookstore to find travel information, this book catches your eye first. Its bright yellow color suits the country’s scenery beautifully. The map stood out to me. London reportedly has 33 boroughs, with about five to seven well-known tourist areas. The map gives a quick overall sense of where places are, and page references make each area’s information easy to find. The recommended London itineraries detail the time and places involved, so following one seems like

The regional sections offer even more sights, so you may
I was very interested in London but didn’t have a clear understanding or accurate information about the city. After reading Friends London, I recommend it as very helpful for first-time visitors. It neatly organizes general information and essentials, along with details you won’t find on blogs or the internet, so you can quickly find what you need. It seems useful for making efficient use of your time and planning a fulfilling trip by route and day. I think it’s an essential reference for
