In the days of the foreign exchange crisis, some said the aftermath was more than 20 years away. At the time, it was a demigod. I can see that the story of the aftermath was true at the time. Pain.
I hope you'll read it as an economics student. Everything seems to be clearer after some time.
The latest press says that the Korean economy is similar to the foreign-running crisis. I was an economist, but I didn't know exactly what the foreign exchange crisis was for, and how it went. As he said, the academic world is divided. This book presents as many ideas as possible, and it's presenting the author's thoughts. A book that can understand the foreign crisis in three dimensions is very helpful and it broadens our view of the Korean economy today.
It's a very good book. We're building most of the major issues of our economy. But those of you who haven't read these books before are a little bit more difficult to read.
Lee Je-min: The Foreign Exchange Crisis and the Korean Economy Thereafter
The purpose of this book is to look at the nature of the Korean foreign currency crisis in 1997 and what will be accomplished in the Korean economy. To do so, we look at the existing documents, analyze and organize differences in views that appear on them, and then present our opinions in their own way. In this process, financial and labor, in other fields of economics, “united” views and then concluded. It's expected that modern economics can be done because it's not a very different paradigm in the field. Chapter one is the main material of this book, including introductions:. Chapter 2 examines the economy of Korea before the foreign currency crisis. The reason for doing so is that first of all, to understand the nature of the foreign crisis, you have to understand what the economy was like. That is, we need to look at how Korea was able to achieve economic “miracles” and what could be the potential factor for the foreign crisis. Chapter 3 discusses the nature of the foreign crisis: its causes, its solutions and subsequent reforms. After concluding the claim that the crisis was due to the domestic economy and the movement of the press, we consider how the IMF and the United States were working on the solutions to the foreign crisis. Chapter 4 discusses the decline in economic growth after the crisis. First, the view that production per capita and overindulging before the crisis have been resolved, and the growth has dropped, shows that post-autical and rescue reforms have failed to replace the previous investment mechanism, thus preventing the replacement.
