Description

Lee Hyo-won's novel *Slave Contract After Writing It, I Am a Non-Regular Hero*, Volume 1. The moment I stepped beyond the stifling walls of school in search of the ordinariness I had longed for, a massive mountain of debt left by my father swooped down on me, Shin Sung-woo. The moment I decided to become the caretaker of *Baekgu Yeonlip* to repay that debt, I realized something. This place was none other than a "mental hospital" holding human weapons captive. An acupuncturist disguised as a well-bred young lady who distrusts humans, and a self-centered machine maniac with a four-dimensional mindset. My mission in charge of these problem girls is simple: to use their "extreme skills" to subdue the dangerous "power that defies the rules"!

At first, I bought it without much thought, thinking, "Should I give it a try?" just because the title was unique and it was written by an author returning after a long hiatus. But after reading it, I'm glad I did. Looking at the plot summary, you might think it's a dry story filled only with sci-fi action and people with superpowers fighting, but actually reading it, you can empathize with the protagonist's painful reality. The scene on the cover where the two characters bicker is both funny
