I suddenly developed a herniated disc and ordered this book hoping it would help. I learned about it while watching the doctor’s exercise videos on YouTube, and the detailed explanations seem easy to follow.

I have struggled with back pain for 14 years, been hospitalized several times, and had several procedures, but the pain never stopped, so I went from clinic to clinic. Eventually I realized posture and exercise matter more than procedures. I was frustrated by the lack of a proper guide, so I was glad to find this book. Lee Go-eun: Back pain relief
About 80% of people experience back pain at least once in their lives, and 7–10% suffer from chronic back pain. It often begins with aging, poor posture, repetitive work, or leisure activities, then becomes chronic when it is not addressed properly. Once back pain is chronic, one or two treatments will not make it go away. Injections, Korean chuna manual therapy, or hands-on physical therapy at different clinics may help only temporarily; if poor habits and movements continue, the pain returns. Lasting relief requires steady personal effort to ease the pain and maintain improvement. For more than ten years, rehabilitation medicine specialist Dr. Go-eun Lee has told patients, “To help your back, avoid bad postures and movements instead of adding more things to do.” Exercises and other activities that take time and money to reduce pain can actually make the back worse. It is important to avoid harmful postures and movements, build good posture, and strengthen the true core muscles that protect the back. Drawing on extensive clinical experience, Dr. Lee explains the everyday back-pain management advice she cannot fully cover in the clinic: how to avoid poor posture and movement, develop good posture, strengthen core muscles, and ultimately get free of persistent back pain, in clear instructions anyone can understand and follow.
