A book you read in one sitting, feeling as if you have traveled together; a book that conveys thoughts and emotions exactly as they are.
What if you could work while traveling to your dream destination? You might question whether it is appropriate to work even while on vacation, but if the inspiration, emotions, and the journey itself become the guiding principles of your work, your so-called "work-life balance" will improve significantly, at least for the duration of your trip. This is the life of a "digital nomad." It is a life boldly chosen by free spirits who are fed up with spending their entire lives confined to an office
I read the book *I’m Going Home to New York Starting Today*, which I picked up out of curiosity about the life of a digital nomad. The subtitle is "Everything About Digital Nomads Who Work While Playing." So, what kind of lives are these two digital nomads, who work while playing, actually leading? Living as a digital nomad allowed me to gain a different realization. The greatest significance of a digital nomad’s life lies not merely in enjoying freedom from the constraints of time and space.
I liked the book right from the title. I particularly enjoyed the theme of combining work and travel, and ideally doing so with like-minded colleagues. The fact that the setting is New York was also refreshing. The New York photos, which perfectly complement the content, were especially excellent. This seems like a book that will be of direct help to those living as digital nomads. Thank you for creating such a wonderful book.
The title "I'm Going Home to New York Starting Today" really drew me in right from the start. How could they go home to New York? Did they buy a house there? Is this a story about living in New York for a year? I opened the book, letting all sorts of thoughts run wild. I was incredibly curious about how digital nomads came to work in New York. Authors Lee Eun-ji and Hwang Go-woon received investment from a client and ended up living in New York for a month. I was also very curious about the
“What Does the Life You Dream Of Look Like?” What does the life you dream of look like? One of the book's authors used the expression that their life was shaken to its core, stating that they experienced a "midlife crisis" in their 30s after returning from New York. It seems that slumps are bound to occur no matter where you are or what you are doing. Initially, you continue with excitement and passion while learning unfamiliar things, but at some point, those unfamiliar things become familiar
Reading about "Living in New York for a Month" during the COVID-19 pandemic makes my heart flutter even more. Especially since it is New York, of all places! (I haven't been to New York, but I already love it) The book *I'm Going Home to New York Starting Today* covers the #LivingInNewYorkMonth project of Millennial marketer "President Eun" and Gen Z creator "PD Hwang," who is nine years her junior. The term #DigitalNomad has become quite common these days. I remember learning the concept of a
I was able to get a head start on the thought process regarding the attitude and working methods involved in creating digital content from the perspectives of both a marketer and a creator. It felt particularly vivid because it was a story about the process of making money through digital content, shared by a content creator with 10 years of experience and a freelance marketer. Since every single thing they said was the result of their own experience, I could tell just how intensely they
This book allowed me to feel the honest thoughts and passion for work as a digital nomad. It was also great to learn about New York coworking spaces that I didn't know about before.
Lee Eun-ji et al.: Starting today, I am heading to New York.
Digital nomads, who roam the globe working and traveling with a laptop, used to feel like a story of the future, somewhat distant from our reality. However, according to surveys, one in three Korean office workers is already a potential digital nomad who has experienced working from home. Driven by the MZ generation—who wish to cultivate their own value through personal branding rather than belonging to a single profession—the digital nomad lifestyle is increasingly becoming mainstream. In this book, content creators and successful freelance marketers Lee Eun-ji and Hwang Go-woon share everything about their month-long project in New York, undertaken after receiving a 10 million won investment. Filled with the know-how of digital nomads who work while playing, this book will introduce a new way of life to office workers who do not want to be confined to an office forever, as well as to everyone who wishes to build their own unique career.
