It has everything I wanted to know.
True to its title, this book explains basic mineral and rock terminology. I purchased it because my job requires a better understanding of rocks, and I was satisfied as it contained the information I needed. However, since the book was published over 10 years ago, it was a bit disappointing that some of the updates made since then were not fully reflected. Also, fitting for an academic book published over a decade ago, the design featured black text and white paper. It explains mineral names in

This book is a glossary of terms for 62 minerals and 62 rocks. The author felt it was unfortunate that various terms were being used for a single mineral or rock, so he examined the etymology and origins of the terms to purify them into proper Korean.
