Lee Byung-moon: Nine-Day Prayer for Baptism
As the day of the Sacrament of Baptism approaches after successfully completing a long period of catechesis, believers experience a multitude of emotions. These include anticipation of being born again as children of God, joy and excitement at finally receiving baptism, and a sense of burden regarding the life they will lead as believers. Many will find their hearts complex with these various feelings. The reason such emotions arise before the Sacrament of Baptism is precisely because it occupies such an important position in the life of faith. For this reason, Pope Francis has said the following regarding the Sacrament of Baptism: "What is the sacrament that illuminates the light for us to begin the Christian life? It is the Sacrament of Baptism. The Resurrection of Christ, the source of new birth and renewal, reaches us 'through Baptism,' which transforms us into His image. In other words, those who are baptized are the people of Jesus Christ, and He is the Lord of those who are baptized. Therefore, Baptism is the 'source of every Christian life.' Please remember this clearly: Baptism is the 'source of every Christian life.'" - During the 2018 General Audience Catechesis, the Catholic Publishing House revised and published *Nine-Day Prayer for Baptism* to help prepare more faithfully for this important sacrament of baptism. This book is a faithful prayer guide that leads one to prepare one's heart by offering daily prayers starting nine days before the sacrament of baptism and to listen to the Word of God.
