It is well-structured and easy for beginners to understand. I used it as a reference while taking the MS Transact-SQL course; the key points covered were similar, and I found it very useful in many ways. The translation is also done with care. However, the lack of many examples seems to be a drawback, but it is still a very useful book. I highly recommend it.
This is a book where you can learn everything from the basic theory to the application of SQL in a single practice session.
Larry Rockoff: SQL language
This book is an introductory guide for those who want to study SQL in the era of big data but are wondering how to get started. According to the author, “SQL, or ‘Structured Query Language,’ is the first language used to learn relational databases,” and the goal of this book is, in a word, “to teach how to use SQL to retrieve data from databases.” The book covers topics such as how to update data in a database, how to create and maintain databases, how to design relational databases, and strategies for displaying processed data.
