I studied Hebrew in my theology class, but I didn't buy it to study Aramaic... but I'll be studying it someday, right?
It seems to be a relatively easy-to-be-explained textbook to compare and learn Aramaic and Hebrew.

The Targum Onkelos, the Targuum Jonathan, the Tharkum Neopiti, and the Syrian Peshitta versions can be used as a good tool to enrich the reading of the Scriptures. The Aramaic language is almost like the Aramaic version of many Aramaic texts and since it is also a Aramaic language, you will not have trouble getting the documents related to it if you learn the Aramaic language. I hope you will be able to get your copy into the deeper Old Testament research.
