I’ve always thought that beer is the quintessential alcohol, so to think a book about beer has been released! Since I love beer quite a bit, I’ve bought and read almost every beer book out there. However, I was often disappointed by other books that were filled with difficult terminology and boring beer history and origins. But this book isn't boring at all; instead of tedious stories, it’s packed with beautiful photos of pubs and delicious food, making me crave a glass of beer just by looking
Whenever I make plans to meet up, it’s always either Hongdae or Itaewon, and this book is packed with introductions to delicious craft beer pubs in both areas. It includes detailed photos, so if you just quickly skim through it before your appointment, you can decide on the meeting place without any hesitation—it’s super useful!! Hahaha. Everyone I went with raved about how delicious it was too~ Heh. You can even use coupons, so it’s economical as well~ Hehe. I feel like I really struck gold~!
These days, imported beer sections are increasingly taking up a large space even in major supermarkets. Given this trend, it seems like a truly substantial book has been released at a time when interest in imported beer is growing. While most books consisted only of descriptions of beer, this one is really well-organized, even including food pairings. I am simply amazed to discover that there are so many great pubs in the Seoul and metropolitan areas. And to think that it comes with coupons
Kwon Kyung-min: Beer Sodam
“Beer Talk” is largely composed of chapters introducing pubs located in the metropolitan area and food pairings that go well with beer. The book fully captures the author's wish for even those unfamiliar with beer to experience the true flavors of various beers; rather than simply listing the boring and dry origins, history, or types of beer, the book is structured to allow readers to explore the world of beer in an easy and fun way without feeling burdened.
