Kwak Hwi: Research on Modern Korean Directional Nouns

A study of defense nouns has a lot to do with discussing what defense noun means based on cognitive linguistics. However, while there are many studies of Korean native defense nouns, there is still no systematic research on the self-defense. In particular, research on the personal nature of self-defense, the appearance of word combinations, and the function of meanings is very low. The name of defense, such as the Chinese word ‘ prize, ’ ‘ ha, ’ “war, ’”“war, ’ and ‘hu, ’ all have spatial meanings, time and abstract meanings like ‘ the stomach, ’ the front and the back. Based on the discussion of the native languages of good behavior, the article has found that the meanings of the Korean self-defense nouns, the personal characteristics of the Chinese defense nouns and the formative structure and meaning functions, have been seen to make a common and common difference between the use of self-refuge and self-definition. Also, a comparison was made between the Korean name and the Chinese name name. Unlike English and other Western languages, Korean is only achieved by the nouns of space. This is similar to Chinese, but in English the situation is different in that there are words such as ‘the, the top, the front, the back, and the back ’ with the name of the defense name, which represents the space position. The first section presented the purpose of the study, selected the subject and then reviewed the research on defense nouns. Chapter two has been devoted to the meaning of the personal name defense of the language. Chapter three looked at the meaning function, the formative structure and the personal characteristics of the self-defense.
