Kostolani Desjö: Edesi Unner
In the early 20th century, Hungary was accused of being a domestic servant. The housekeeper Unner, who lived as a human being and as another human being. The prison describes a tragic event that happened to her who had not been treated humanly enough as “it was all better than the kitchen where she used to sleep”. In the novel, we can see Budapest, the political turmoil that followed World War I, as it was at the time of the collapse of Hungary's Communist regime and the rise of the old order. The novel "The Best Story Between World Wars" was published in 1958 in Hungary and was also presented in Khan Film Festival.
