Korea Press Foundation: Korean journalists
The Korea Press Foundation’s *Journalists Survey* is the only statistical survey targeting journalists in Korea that has been conducted regularly since 1989. The survey comprehensively examines the diverse perceptions of Korean journalists, ranging from their overall view of the media, news gathering and reporting, the role and responsibilities of the press, retraining, job satisfaction, political leanings, working environments, and lifestyles. Notably, the 2023 survey included additional questions regarding artificial intelligence (AI) and journalism in the reporting process, trauma and harassment, and gender equality. By measuring data in a segmented manner by media type, affiliated organization, and job rank, the survey provides valuable foundational data applicable to research in the media industry and journalism fields. Marking its 16th edition this year, the *Journalists Survey* is conducted every two years to provide time-series data, aiming to more closely observe changes in journalists' work behaviors and perceptions in response to shifts in the media environment.
