Description

Korean Buddhism became the foundation of Korean thought and Koreanism became a well with Korean Buddhism, which was passed over the Silk Road in Indian West India into northern Korea. For the next 1700 years, Buddhism has been deeply rooted in our history by the self-immolating role of Koreans and their active efforts to reach the Pantheon, the Korean peninsula, and the Korean Islands. Buddhism has been brought into the deep sea of Korean thought by bringing the native belief in God, belief in the living and the immortal into the heart of the wind and then letting it fall back into the current of Taoism, Confucianism and Christianity. “Pritism has taught South Koreans how to think and why to reason, and has had profound influence on Korean National Assembly, ethics, sanctimonium, art, atomies, food and housing. Buddhism has thus become deeply indigenous to history, philosophy and religion in the land and has become a broad-scale community of art, culture and science. As a result, “the Korean Buddhist idea became the very heart of Korean thought and Korean thought became a well with Korean Buddhism. The current conscious intellectuals are offering a contemporary request to re- - make a re-abolicized cultural landscape out of the Buddhist world. To transform Korean society into a re-plicified cultural landscape, we might first need to start with the restoration of Buddhist intellectuals' pride and self-worth. To do so, I think we need a ‘search ’ and ‘bowhole ’ for the untaught, or Korean, teacher.
