This book consists of 3 parts and 16 chapters. Part 1 serves as a general overview, covering preparatory matters necessary for grammar study, such as characters and orthography, the pronunciation of individual letters, the nature of grammatical materials, and the characteristics of Middle Korean. Part 2 covers morphology, including the theory of parts of speech, and Part 3 covers syntax, including the function and meaning of grammatical elements; it should be noted that there is some overlap between the two sections.
