Nowadays, the younger generation in Korea is proficient in English. They are particularly good at listening and speaking. However, while individual differences exist, even the younger generation does not perform as well in reading and writing as they do in listening and speaking. The fact that today's youth excel in English, especially listening and speaking, is largely due to increased opportunities to encounter the language through various media and expanded international exchanges; however, I believe the influence of communicative English teaching methods has also played a role. This book is retro in that it presents sentence patterns repeatedly, just as was common during the era of audiolingual teaching methods. Repetition is not merely problematic because it is inefficient. Although retro, repetition remains a valid learning strategy in foreign language education. In this regard, I believe this book will serve as a good guide for learners who wish to properly learn Korean.
