Description

When mothers feel confident, their children can too! Children often come to understand themselves through their mother's eyes and words. We hope that college will not become the goal of children's lives. Attending a SKY university is great, but what we really want is a SKY life: Smile, finding yourself smiling when you think about your life; Kindness, being a kind and good person to yourself and others; and Yourself, being the main character of your own life! Should only children get to live a SKY life? Mothers should share one, too. I love Basque cheesecake, especially among all the kinds of cheesecake. I thought it would be hard to make, but the ingredients are simple and the method is easy. Then I suddenly thought, “Isn't this a bit like raising a child?” And so “Cheesecake Parenting” was born. Just as people say “cheeeese” instead of “smile” when taking a picture, this is a way of parenting that lets children and parents laugh together. It does not take much, like a simple recipe, for both my child and me to build a SKY life. Cheesecake Parenting grew from my personal experience raising two children and the faith I found through countless observations from 38 years working with children in schools. Parenting, too, can be as sweet as cheesecake. —From Cheesecake Parenting

Two kids... I wanted to have two rather than one, like other people. They say the two play together as they grow up. But once I pick both kids up from daycare and school, my blood pressure shoots up... Okay, time for a parenting class for two kids—let's go! Almost everything in the book applies to us, but it does not seem easy to change. As I read, I wished I could go back and start over from when we began solid foods. My younger child was born in December and is six by Korean age, but I still

A parenting compass for parents and children: Cheesecake Parenting. I've never made a cheesecake, so I don't know whether it's easy or difficult. I imagine mothers starting out on their parenting journey feel much the same: since they haven't done it before, they can only gauge its difficulty by listening to people who have. Parenting has not been easy for me. The phrase “simple and easy parenting” did not resonate, which made me want to read this book even more. The author, who writes under

After attending the author's book concert, I came away thinking, 'This person is truly devoted to raising children.' I trusted the teacher even more when I saw them revise the lesson materials again and again whenever the children didn't understand, so they could follow the class. I deeply wanted to take one of the teacher's classes, and it felt moving to watch children be touched and changed by the fair lessons they learned there. I highly recommend this to practicing teachers, parents, and
