Kim Seong-min: Night Run Nightfall 6

“Night Run,” a rare Korean science-fiction work and a hugely popular webtoon that has been serialized since 2009, tells a solemn and moving story in a distinctive, expansive world and has received high praise from science-fiction fans. The prologue “Prey Origin” and the preceding story “Hero” focus on the characters’ conflicts and growth as they fight monsters, the common enemy of humanity. “Nightfall,” by contrast, shifts the conflict to human against human, revealing conspiracies and tragedy and carefully presenting themes that run throughout the series.
