GO! Self-Study German: First Steps. Siwon School has been well known in the language-learning field for a long time. I had heard of it but never tried its books or lessons, so I was curious. It seems to have stayed popular long enough to become a bestseller and get a revised edition, so I opened it. Each chapter shows lovely German scenery in bright colors. Every time I see those beautiful pictures, I suddenly want to go back to Germany, and my motivation to study German rises. The book begins

This review was written as a personal review after receiving a book from the publisher with help from the Book and Tree Cafe. This is the German edition of Siwon School’s Go! Self-Study First Steps series for beginners, from a publisher specializing in foreign-language instruction. It has 20 units, each with German conversation patterns (Get Speaking), key expressions (Learn the Essentials), grammar explanations (Build Grammar), practice exercises (Improve Your Skills), words and vocabulary

This review was written after I received and read a book from Siwon School as a member of the Book and Tree review team. I hope you will start 2025 well by taking this valuable opportunity to learn German, one of Europe’s most advanced countries, from the beginning. When I chose a second foreign language in school, I had to think about it. I could choose German or Japanese. German felt far away; since it is a European language and seemed a little like English, I thought it would be extremely

I know this phrase, Ich liebe dich, even though I do not know German. German sounds firm without being harsh, and I find it appealing. I was curious about the new language and wanted to try saying it, so I picked up this Siwon School German textbook. There is also a supplemental booklet for learning essential verbs and expressions separately. The inside cover of GO! Self-Study German: First Steps has a scratch-off code for free video lessons. Go to the Siwon School German site through Naver and

This review was written after receiving the book at no cost from the publisher. Author: Kim Seong-hui. Publisher: Siwon School. Publication date: April 30, 2024. 280 pages. This is a beginner German book that teaches the alphabet, pronunciation, grammar, and conversation all at once. Is German really necessary? Fewer countries use German than in the past. But many Korean students who want to study abroad choose Germany and other European countries. Why? First, tuition is low; second, classes

This review was written after receiving a complimentary copy. This is a textbook for studying German independently, just as the title says. When learning any language for the first time, a book like this is much better; it is much better to have a rough idea of how to begin. The goal is to reach A2 in a month, though that seems difficult because German is unfamiliar. That does not mean other languages can be learned in a month either. Since German pronunciation differs from English, the book

I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for this review. I got the revised edition of Siwon School’s GO! Self-Study German: First Steps. When I traveled abroad a lot, Germany was the prettiest place I saw as the plane landed. The red roofs and charming little houses were so lovely. Germany was also where I received the most thoughtful kindness while traveling. The bus did not come to the stop, so I asked someone nearby. We talked in our imperfect English, and since they were going that

I am interested in languages. German was the language I most enjoyed studying. I had a goal and purpose then, and I got so absorbed in learning one thing after another that I lost track of time. But after a long time without using German, I forgot a lot. I can still understand simple sentences, but it would be good to review and strengthen the basics regularly. For me, Siwon School books are a good way to start any language at the beginner level. I recently studied Spanish with the GO!

I received a book from the publisher, read it, and wrote this review based on my personal opinion. I wanted to try learning German on my own, and since this book starts at the very basics, I thought perhaps I could give it a try. I knew nothing about German, not even the alphabet, and wanted to start from the very beginning. I heard this was a newly revised edition of a book Siwon School first published in 2018, and it had already become a German-language bestseller, so I had high expectations.

This is a personal review written after receiving the book from the publisher. As a complete beginner hoping to learn German, I wondered where to start. German has a different grammar structure and pronunciation system from English, so studying alone seemed difficult, but I thought it would be possible with a systematic guide. That is why I chose GO! Self-Study German: First Steps. I chose it for three reasons. First, I liked that it teaches conversation for real situations instead of simple
