Description

This book is for people whose minds go completely blank at the mere thought of writing something in English. It is designed to train even students with somewhat limited vocabulary or grammar knowledge to write Issue and Argument essays easily. Since its first printing in 2006, the book has continued to attract readers through repeated printings. For the second edition, its title was changed to NEW GRE Writing to distinguish it from the first edition. For the third edition, the original title GRE Writing was restored, with 3rd Edition added to emphasize the book's core focus once again. It is useful not only for people preparing for the GRE, but also for students hoping to earn a high score on the TOEFL Writing test or learn analytical essay writing in preparation for studying in the United States. Above all, it introduces the key techniques for turning ideas that first come to mind in Korean into specific, fluent writing. It offers a wealth of topics and material that can support broadly valid examples, along with sample essays containing English vocabulary and expressions for writing analytical essays flexibly. This edition also includes several successful Statements of Purpose (SOPs) in the appendix.

This is the latest 2024 edition, but it does not reflect the 2023 revision of the GRE Writing test!! After the 2023 revision, only the Issue task remains; the Argument task was removed. Only 200 pages of this book cover Issue, so please be aware before buying that the other 400 pages on Argument are unnecessary.
