Kim Mi-hye: Beyond Broadway
The opening of the OFVROW and Opbrodeway movement apparently began in opposition to Broadway commercial plays, but over time theaters and organizations have changed somewhat, even though people who are passionate about their careers often end up in Broadway commercial theaters or Hollywood. This also appears to be one of the characteristics of American play. So in this book I took first note of the ‘primary principles, philosophy, goals ’ that were central to the groups that had been leading up to these movements, and, most importantly, what passion and drive they had been working on to carry out their own missions, and what the environment around them was like. The book does not focus on what the American local theaters are doing, because it is thought that it is pointless to repeat what each of them offers on the home page. So it basically tries to convey the social and cultural meanings and location of the arts that are in the spectrums outside of the Broadway commercial theaters, and the projects and productions that are done. _ In the author's article,.
