This biography of the reclusive calligrapher Sojidoin Kang Chang-won offers an in-depth look at the life and artistic world of a calligrapher spanning a century. Published specifically to coincide with the "Sojidoin 100th Birthday Commemorative Calligraphy Exhibition," the book was written over a long period by Sojidoin's devoted disciple, Kim Jong-heon, who also carefully selected and included the works featured in the book. Kang Chang-won was an eccentric figure who distanced himself from worldly values throughout his life, dedicating his entire existence solely to writing and enjoying calligraphy. The author boldly asserts that Sojidoin Kang Chang-won is undoubtedly the greatest calligrapher in Korea since Chusa Kim Jeong-hui. Through this book, readers can learn about Sojidoin Kang Chang-won's hidden centennial life in calligraphy and the Eastern spirit encompassing Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, literature, history, and philosophy as explored through his works. Notably, a separate volume is included containing a facsimile of Kang Chang-won's masterpiece, the *Diamond Sutra* (Vajrasana Paramita Sutra), along with its Korean and English translations.
