Description

Between 1899 and '04, the prison in the Holy Prison formed a branch of Korean Christian history! More than 120 years ago, the entry into Christianity by Kim, Eusun, Lee, Leeman, Lee Ki, Lee Yu, and Hong Jae-gi, of all the people who were in prison for state crimes, was a special event in early Korean Christian history. Being a Christian by being a prisoner and having a variety of religious experiences, and being a Christian in the company of officials, was an exception in deeply rooted Confucian society. Moreover, if you look at their activities after the release, you cannot restrict their definition of the idea or influence of Christian entry into the prison to the early Presbyterian Church in Seoul. The main thing is the education program, which is conducted by the Church of Saints and National Education. The local ground of the activity was Seoul, but its influence was beyond Seoul and across the country. A series of events in one city prison center resulted in the release of a seed that was planted on the ground, sprouted and produced, as well as by the activity of the Incarnationists, to enlighten people at the time of the civil war and to promote the will to protect the country's rights. Although the way Christian faith ethics were applied to real life has been different for individuals, their lives and activities in times of upheaval give us a sense of what life should be like today with historical values.
