Additionally, it is even better to get occasional glimpses into the daily lives of teachers at overseas Korean schools.

My understanding of China is multifaceted. In Korean history, China was both a brother and a friend in political, cultural, and economic terms, as well as an enemy to be cast out. On the other hand, I feel both envy and arrogance in the way it elevates its vast territory and the cultures of its diverse peoples into the confidence of "Zhonghua," and leads the world's economy, military, and diplomacy with its own logic as a G2 power. To understand such a multifaceted entity without prejudice, efforts toward vertical and horizontal verification and the suspension of judgment are necessary. Such vertical and horizontal verification involves experiencing well-founded prejudices revealed through various perspectives and methods. This book, which attempts to understand China starting from travel, through local life, and within elementary education, can aid in our vertical and horizontal verification and the suspension of judgment from a substantial and fresh perspective on China.
