Kim Ho-gi et al.: Modern Korean History Through Debates
The modern Korean debate, read by sociologist Professor Kim Hoggi and historian Professor Park Tatac, as he has highlighted and evaluated 40 arguments that have rocked South Korea's modern history from 1945 to 2018. The two authors say that historical events are important, but the process of finding the answer and the argument about who we are is also important and they tell 40 arguments after the light-brights that allow our society to examine its path, make sure it stands, and reflect on its direction. Part 1 covers the 1945 photoreports from the 1960 Revolution. We're going to see why we had to go through division, war and dictatorship, even though we had very rare opportunities to choose which country and society to create. Part 2 deals with controversy that has rocked South Korean society during the 1961 period of 5/16 military upheaval and the United States. How you view Park Jong-hee's time is a hot issue. Part 3, which has highlighted Korean society from 1980 to 1996, deals with the most hot days in our modern history: the pro-democracy era. Guangjuangang, Socialism, Conventionalism, North Korea, civil society and civil rights, and divisionism are the key points in the era of democracy. The fourth section deals with current debates in Korean society from 1997 to 2018. From sun policy to water classism, from Kim Ming to Park Geun-hye-hyong's government, we look at the question of why we live this way.
