I thought this was an introduction or overview, but the in-depth research and follow-up material made it feel difficult. Still, if I learn more about Spinoza later, I think the content will be truly useful.
I thought this was an introductory or overview book, but I was in for a shock. I'll build up my knowledge and then try again with full concentration. Even so, the author's interpretation seems to provide a foundation for understanding Spinoza in a more nuanced way.
For Spinoza, power is not a property but is the same as existence or nature. This nature or essence is not something eternal that precedes existence; it is constituted together with existence, and that constitution includes relationships with external things.
Professor Eunju Kim, thank you for such a wonderful book. It makes me even more eager to read the diverse and distinctive research on Spinoza's philosophy by other emerging scholars in Korea. What a good book.
