This book tells the story of World Heritage sites in Gyeongnam Province. These sites speak to the history of the people who lived there. The history they created was connected to the development of world history and stood as evidence of diversity. We can see that Gyeongnam’s place in Korean history also helped add depth and breadth to world history. Preserving these World Heritage sites is therefore only natural. I hope they will also give people today a chance to reflect on what they can learn from the heritage shaped by Gyeongnam’s history.
