It's a little disappointing that the applications aren't in the field I wanted to learn about, but this is still a good book for building general knowledge about digital twins.
Digital twins are a hot topic these days. Personally, I wanted to read about how they are used in a particular field, but even though the book wasn't about that field, I think it helped me indirectly.
Kim Dong-wook et al.: The City Meets Digital Twin
The value of this book lies in helping readers understand the results of digital-twin demonstration studies from a social scientist's perspective and presenting ways they could be used. It does not cover the engineering details of digital twins or the technical aspects of modeling. Instead, it focuses on how to understand and use digital twins to solve policy problems. It is therefore a meaningful book for frontline public officials who are unfamiliar with digital technology and for other social scientists.
