Kim Chung-hyun: History of the French Reformation

The work contains a great journey to freedom for the small minority of the modern French Huguenots. In 16th-century France, there was a movement of Protestant supporters of the Reformation, called Huguenots. France then persecuted the Protestant religion as head of the Catholic Church, and in this situation Huguenots began to fight for religious freedom. At this point, the royals supported the Huguenots, and there was Margrit de Navar, a Christian literary advocate of the Reformation, and Zan Dalbrre, who led the religious war called Queen Huguenot, and his son Henry de Bourbon. Henry de Bourbon, who was French king under Saliq law, later granted religious freedom by announcing the Edict of Nantes for his former colleagues. But his son Louis XIII and his grandson Louis XVl revocationd the Edict of Nantes and persecuted Huguenots for the integration of the kingdom. The Huguenots did not give up on their resistance to persecution, and the sacrifices of this resistance were rewarded in 1787 by Louis XVl's 'Edication'. The 'Edication of Permissiveness' earned Huguenots the right not only to religious freedom but also to live equally with other French citizens.
