Kim Chi-hoon: SF Comics, and Artificial Intelligence
Public interest in artificial intelligence has gone beyond science through the century's GOB and has been underway to see how other media have dealt with artificial intelligence. For example, artificial intelligence expressed in movies and novels has been analyzed and discussed at various angles. But the artificial intelligence that is expressed in cartoons has not yet been systematically dealt with. Although cartoons, like novels, have freely spread their imaginations over any media and genre, their energy-consuming nature has weakened the foundation for preservation and research. With SF cartoons, cartoons also reflect the culture and the time of the day. But it's often not valued for its comic, because it'll be high in public. To be appreciated properly, as much as a change in social awareness like this one, we must strive to have creative, study and criticism together as in other fields. This book is the result of such attempts and hopefully will be a basis for a broader discussion.
