Sin Go-song was a writer who defected to North Korea and engaged in children's literature activities alongside Hong Nan-pa and others. Recently, with the resurgence of interest in Sin Go-song's literature, there is a growing trend of active research within academia. This book discusses Sin Go-song's literature under the title *Class Literature, Standing at Its Center*. *Class Literature, Standing at Its Center* provides a biographical examination of Sin Go-song's life and literature. It covers his activities as a professional theater artist during the period of national loss, spanning children's literature, plays, directing, and literary criticism; and his role in laying the foundation for North Korean theater and demonstrating creative activities aligned with Party policies after his defection in 1946. Furthermore, the book compiles basic literature on Sin Go-song to examine the characteristics of his life and literature. Chapter I, titled "In Search of Sin Go-song's Shadowed Life and Literature," explores the purpose and subject of literary research by highlighting the achievements and shortcomings of existing studies on the subject. Chapter II examines Sin Go-song's biography and the development of his literary views in conjunction with it, aiming to grasp the transformative aspects of his life and literary activities at a glance. As a result, Sin Go-song's life will be newly reconstructed. Chapters III, IV, V, and VI will examine Sin Go-song's literary world based on his early literary activities, the period of class literature, the liberation era, and his time in North Korea, centering on specific genres. Children's literature takes center stage during the period of national loss, while drama is central during the liberation and North Korean periods. The final Chapter VII outlines the significance of research on Sin Go-song's literature and presents prospects for future tasks. Additionally, the author has included a compilation of Sin Go-song's literary history and a summary of his life.
