The Three-Column Statutes Series is designed so readers can consult only the laws that apply to them, without having to look through a massive code. It makes it easy and convenient for public institutions and related professionals to refer to the relevant laws. In particular, it presents each law alongside its related enforcement decree and enforcement rules in three columns for easy comparison, allowing readers to cross-reference related laws at a glance. It also includes the laws’ appendices and attached forms for added convenience. The publication date is printed on the cover so readers can easily check the book’s revision date and determine whether it contains the latest laws. Although the three-column statutes, appendices, and attached forms make the book more convenient, they also increase its length, which may be inconvenient. For simple laws, similar editions are available on the market, so readers may wish to consult those. Some laws that do not meet the requirements for inclusion in the Three-Column Statutes format have been left out of this series. We hope that the Three-Column Statutes Series, prepared over a long period, will make finding and using the law a little more convenient. The laws included in this book are sourced from the Ministry of Government Legislation’s National Law Information Center. Because of the limitations of printing on paper, the latest laws can be consulted there; please refer to that source.
