Augustine again is loved and respected. It's a lot better to have books made clean and dignified.
Kato Shinro: Lectures on Augustine's Confessions
This is a course in Japan's Catholic Church against ordinary believers. The author says that faith should be the restoration of ‘true reason’ and that it is only when one can form a rational judgment in the midst of a society’s distress. It was the reason that Augustine was able to recall with shame the period of immigration, which began with his heart turning not to God but to the self-imposing. The author describes the question of God as the beginning of a confessional rock, which is that human beings who are finite acknowledge absolute existence and humble themselves against God.
