I bought this to get a firm handle on vocabulary and nuances that confuse me in Parts 5 and 6 as I aim for a perfect score. It mixes vocabulary and grammar questions well, so it’s good for realistic practice!
I wanted to focus on Parts 5 and 6, and this is just the right book! Highly recommended! The difficulty is good—not too easy. The only inconvenience is that the answer key doesn’t come out separately.
At first, this book is good to work through, but the answer key has lots of typos and some questions are simply wrong. It’s obvious the book wasn’t proofread. If you’re okay with that and just want to do lots of practice, then it’s fine. Also, the explanations are decent for Tests 1–8, but they get pretty slapdash later on, so keep that in mind.
As I get farther into the book, Part 5 has more questions that feel unfairly tricky. I don’t understand them, but perhaps that is why they are helpful. The answer key is clearly explained and the vocabulary is well organized, but it is not separate from the workbook, which makes grading and checking explanations very inconvenient. I tried tearing the answer section out and made a mess. Since the book deliberately avoids including easy questions, I cannot finish under the 16-minute cutoff when I
The explanations are pretty good, and I like that I can focus my practice on Parts 5 and 6. I just wish the book opened more easily and that the answer explanations came in a separate volume.
I usually got a high percentage correct on this section when I worked through other past exam questions, but this workbook helped me catch a lot of things I didn’t know!
I bought it because Parts 5 and 6 are my weak points. I like that I can ask the author directly through KakaoTalk about questions I don’t know. I highly recommend the workbook!
I ordered this because I want to reduce my time on Parts 5 and 6. It says to finish in 15 minutes, but I can’t quite do that yet... I’m gradually getting faster. There are 20 sets, so it’s good for daily practice. Recommended.
I bought this because I wanted to focus on studying Parts 5 and 6, and now I understand why everyone uses Sigong. I love timing myself as I work through the questions! It really helps me identify my weak areas overall. The only downside is that it’s a little inconvenient to check the answer key. Other than that, I don’t think there are any. If the explanations still leave you with questions, you can ask through KakaoTalk, and the answers are very clear. Great value 🍀 Highly recommend!
Parts 5 and 6 can be so frustrating, and I wanted to practice just those every day, so I went to a bookstore and compared workbooks that covered only Parts 5 and 6 before choosing this one. The explanations are pretty good, and it guides you to finish all 46 questions in the two parts within 15 minutes, which makes it great for building a habit and training. The downsides are that the book doesn’t stay open easily and the answer explanations aren’t in a separate volume, which makes reviewing
Kang Jin-oh et al.: Sinagong TOEIC Part 5, 6 Practice Workbook
To score high on the TOEIC, managing your time is most important. To finish marking your answers within the time limit, you need to complete the parts you can do quickly as fast as possible. In particular, to solve Part 7—which takes careful time to find the answers—you need to spend as little time as possible on Parts 5 and 6. If you finish Parts 5 and 6 within 15 minutes, you can devote a full hour to Part 7 and improve your accuracy. This is why a book offering intensive practice with 20 sets of real-world questions for finishing TOEIC Parts 5 and 6 in 15 minutes is attracting attention: the Sigong TOEIC Parts 5 and 6 Practice Test Book. It was designed for test takers aiming to finish those parts in 15 minutes and earn a perfect score. It contains 20 sets, each with more than 30% discriminating questions to help build speed for the real test, along with explanations that clearly identify why each answer is right or wrong. To make things easier, the author even shares a personal KakaoTalk ID so students can ask questions directly. I strongly recommend it to intermediate learners aiming for a perfect TOEIC score by increasing speed and reducing mistakes on Parts 5 and 6. 1. Twenty sets of high-score questions to complete over 20 days! More than 30% of the questions in the 20 sets were selected by the author for high scorers.
