Kang Hong-gu: Kang Hong-gu

The 36th book of Hexagon, which has gathered works of the 36th river Redforest, appeared on the Korean modern art team. The book, which gathered work from 2012 to 2017 in the river Redfork, carries with it photographs and drawings, along with a work notebook a work piece of author's work on redevelopment areas such as the Silvertown and the life and play spaces of Seoul. The 12-year project "green Research" is tracking images between the pictures and the drawing, and the 13-year-old 'State Mountain Poet' shows the author's interest in housing problems through a drop-in, drawing houses on top of the mountain rocks of North Korea. The 15 years of the Underprints drew personal murals with canvasses of walls and houses. They are sort of image-accelerated and they speak more directly to the author's interest in politics, culture and social areas. The 17-year-old poet "Post and Surrey" consists of a series of projects that the author has done for over a decade, either with fogging the streets of the high-end city, the John and the Third Lady Redevelopment Regions, or simply picking the days when he came in. It is ironic that the seemingly beautiful, even pathetic, scenes are actually a landscape of weeded villages after the houses were demolished. The writer tried to get as far away from reality as possible from the color control of the photograph itself, which was slightly different from the previous work. And then the reality is there, and the image is asking how it changes and accepts it. The book is significant in that it allows us to look at the recent changes in work in a writer who continues to ask how we see, recognize and remember the world.
