Joo Young-ae et al.: Research on Korean Living Culture for the Developmental Succession of Living Culture

Research on living culture must contribute to resolving the life problems experienced by individuals and families—the agents shaping living culture—and to ultimately pursuing happiness through the redistribution of feasible resources to satisfy their diverse needs. Furthermore, research on living culture should be able to suggest directions for the lives of individuals and families by studying the various phenomena of living culture that are generated, transformed, disappear, created, and inherited in response to changes in the environment. Therefore, this study aims to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of research on Korean living culture and to discuss its future direction and tasks. This is because it is a matter that researchers must explore for the sustainable coexistence of our society.
