Jon Fosse: Name/Guitar Man
Jon Posse translates our lives into a thoroughly compressed and omitted language. Among the repetitions and contractions, many silences are made between the two. His language is constantly hidden. The language of his text is not the tool of communication, as if his relationships were impossible to communicate. In some ways, people seem to be talking, not about conveying their ideas, but just to make sure that they exist there. A signal that tells us that there is a presence, and behind that signal, there is so much meaning behind it. It's the readers' job to find out what it means and interpret it.
