I bought this book because it is called the bible of story-writing guides and I thought it would help me develop my writing and create my own stories. I am still reading it. It is a massive, brick-like book, but quite interesting.
I was concerned after seeing reviews of the translation, but the book is so good that I am reading it carefully. I like how it lays out the plot in order, and the explanations using The Godfather and Casablanca make it easy to understand. I would have preferred more recent examples that fit the framework more systematically, but I am still satisfied.
