It was written to provide a system of Scriptural truth that would help people, their problems, and the living God. "The word of God must be the authority of counsel.". (2) Counseling should be part of the basic disciple-making mission of the local church. (3) God's people are based on the conviction that they can and should be trained to consult effectively. He was used for pastors, elders, laymen, all of God's people. We expect this to be a textbook available at Christian universities and seminary levels, or in Scriptural counseling courses. A good deal of training and experience, skilled pastors and seminarys or pastors who have not had enough practical experience, can benefit from this book. A sincere layman who wants to learn the skills necessary to serve Christ and his people will find many insights that are useful, practical and challenging in this book. We tried to publish the book in a way that was more clearly humanistic or secular than biblical, responsive or argumentative, and that basically gave us a pre-medication rather than theoretical and abstract, to suggest what was understood as simple as practical, technical or complex. We've written to inspire readers to live spiritually and in a secular way, to encourage, to teach, to confirm, to expand and to promote.
