Description

According to Dewey, everything is unique in nature. Events are unique and unique. The ritual of all events in space with the rituals of the universe is the ritual. Any event reflects the universe, and each of it is a precious experience that cannot be ignored. It's a unique experience that cannot be ignored, one that cannot possibly be classified as the same in any generalized category. The experience of pre-Grimmism is not just sensory experience. It's the process in which conscious creatures are related to the outside. It's an experience that is both natural and human and historical and cultural. For John Dewey, human experience is all natural experience. It creates habits. According to Dewey, “we are a habit. Habits constitute self.". And "will is specific to habits, and habits integrate within them certain circumstances." (Friends page 64). So discrimination is a habit that reflects class society as a daily environment. Discrimination is not something that humans have had since birth, as long as discrimination has not been there. Discrimination is a habit of choice. Dewey argues. "Man is a habit creation, not a creature of reason, not of instinct." (Journal, page 58). What John Dewey is looking at is human hearts. The human mind is not originally given to man. The human mind reflects what society we live in.
