Johannes Burckhardt et al.: Koselleck's Dictionary of Conceptual History 21: Economy
The economy of ‘keeping’ originated with the Greek word oi·ko·noʹmiʹanagão. It is about the equivalent of ‘future’ to manage a house. Oiconomia is a very different economy and means that we know very well. The opening description introduces the origin of the fisheries and then takes the ‘economic elements/symbols ’ and then goes to the modern economy, including the markets, trade and merchants that we are used to. The economy of domestic life has only been lent its name and it seems to have nothing to do with the price of making up the economy, interest, monopoly and currency. The ‘ household economy ’ and ‘ trade and commerce, ’ the unconscious break - up and the militaristic thinker digs through this unconscious cut or old conflict between the economy of living and the economic element of living. It shows that Aristotle valued politics, ethics and domesticism in a parallel way, and prepares him for the poor money making at the time. In the Middle Ages, there was a greater gap between homekeeping and money making. The idea of home and housekeeping became the family of God, the world, the ruler, and was strong as a real social structure. The reasons for trade and markets, the economic element in the modern sense, are only related to discussions of prices and profits and commerce. Until the early days of modern times, positive concepts expanded their meaning. Only as a slanderist developed, the exchange area with the merchant grew to a point where it gained access to the territory of its readers. But the latter was simply referred to as ‘ commerce ’ or ‘ ordinary school. ’.
