Jo Sun-ae: Turn around and walk
As a Christian and a pastor, I often find myself in deep contemplation. This happens when I discover the sin that still exists within me, or when I realize that the church I belong to differs from the image of the church presented in the Bible. It seems this is not just my own struggle; it is a concern shared by the author of this book as well. This book is not entertaining or easy to read. Nor is it a book meant to lift one's spirits. It is not a collection of personal faith testimonies. It is certainly not a book about church growth or revival. Nor is it a book that offers easy answers to difficult questions. It depicts the process of a pastor and his church pausing the path they have walked together to look back on their journey and find a new direction. I highly recommend this book to brothers and sisters in faith who are struggling to resemble the image of Christ, and to the Lord's workers who yearn for the church to be reborn in a manner befitting the true church (Son Sang-won / Professor of New Testament, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary).
